Northern Green Gathering 2026 will be held at Newland Park, Normanton, Wakefield, West Yorkshire.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

One of the biggest environmental impacts of festivals and gatherings is the fuel usage travelling to and from the event. At Northern Green Gathering we encourage people to lift share and use public transport where possible to minimise the number of vehicles attending the event. For this reason we charge for car parking and offset this money against the ticket prices, so it pays to fill the vehicle and share travel costs. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Public Transport<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Our new site is easily accessible by public transport, either by getting a train to Normanton and then a short bus or bike ride, or a direct bus from Wakefield, Pontefract or Castleford. The nearest bus stops are the Newland Lane<\/a> or Church Lane<\/a> stops on routes 189<\/a> or 186<\/a>. The public entrance is a short walk along Newland Lane.<\/span><\/p>\n

By Road<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The public entrance to NGG is approximately 30 minutes drive from Leeds via the M62 (exit 31), or 15 minutes drive from Wakefield town centre via the A650. Directions can be found by entering “Northern Green Gathering” into Google Maps. Do not enter a postcode into a sat nav as this will take you to the wrong place! After turning onto Newland Lane from Wakefield Road, drive past the church and down to the end of the lane, where a traffic marshal will direct you to cross the railway bridge when the lane is clear.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
